Under-17 team leaves for Pakistan |

Dhaka (UNB) – Bangladesh national youth team is likely to leave here for Pakistan on July 11 to participate in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Under-17 tournament.
Nafis Iqbal will lead the Bangladesh squad comprising 14 players and two officials in the 10-team Asian youth tournament to be held in Karachi during July 15-30.
Bangladesh have been placed in Pool A with hosts Pakistan, Nepal, Kuwait and the Maldives while Pool B teams are Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
Bangladesh will play giant Pakistan in the inaugural match on July 15 at the National Stadium in Karachi, followed by Nepal on July 19, Maldives on July 20 and Kuwait on July 21.
Two top teams from each pool will play in the semifinals scheduled on July 23 while the final match will be held on July 25.
Bangladesh team: Nafis Iqbal, Nasiruddin Faruk, Shariful Islam, Mohammad Ashraful, Shafiul Alam, Anwar Hossain (wicket keeper), Talha Zubair, Mohammad Sharif, Mahbubul Alam Robin, Kuntal Chandan Papan, Prosenjit Bose Joy, Kazi Manjurul Islam Rana, Ali Arman Rajan and Sabuj Islam.
Officials: Manager - Sailab Hossain Tutul and Coach – Golam Faruk Chowdhury Suru.
