Rajshahi moved into zonal final of National Football Championship |

Dhaka, May 24 (UNB) – Rajshahi DSA moved into the zonal final of the 21st Sher-e-Bangla Cup National Football Championship beating Bogra DSA by 4-0 goals at the Naogaon Stadium today (Wednesday).
Alam netted twice in the 13th and 19th minute while Payel and Kamal scored one each in the 33rd and 74th minute respectively for the winners.
Rajshahi will take on hosts Naogaon DSA in the zonal final on Friday.
The zonal final match between Barisal and Bhola DSA was abandoned for the second consecutive day due to heavy downpour at the Baguna Stadium today.
The match will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at the same venue.
Besides, Sylhet, Kushtia, Sirajganj and Sherpur DSAs won their respective matches at different zonal venues today (Wednesday).
At Moulvibazar, a brilliant hattrick by Nasir enabled Sylhet DSA to earn a facile 4-0 goals victory over Habiganj DSA.
Nasir netted three goals in the 21st, 65th and 67th minute while Manoj scored another goal in the 53rd minute for Kushtia.
In day’s other match at Naogaon, Sirajganj DSA managed a 1-0 goal victory over Chapainawabganj this afternoon with Fazlu scoring the match winning goal in the 26th minute.
At Gopalganj, Kushtia DSA beat hosts Gopalganj by 4-3 goals in a keenly contested match.
Towhid scored twice in the 10th and 82nd minute while Sohrab and Mizan netted two other goals in the 36th and 85th minute for the winners.
For Gopalganj, Mehdi netted two in the 24th and 88th minute while Kalu scored the remaining goal in the 53rd minute.
The other match of the day between Jhenidah DSA and Rajbari DSA ended in a 3-3 draw at Gopalganj stadium today (Wednesday).
At Jamalpur, Sherpur DSA defeated hosts Jamalpur by 3-1 goals.
