ROTTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) - Pre-competition controls and doping tests during the first round of eight games at the Euro 2000 championships were all negative, UEFA announced on Friday.
It is the first time UEFA has carried out unannounced out-of-competition controls ahead of a championship, and the tests were carried out in the teams' training camps up to June 6, four days before the championship opened.
The teams involved were not announced.
Drug tests carried out after the first round of group matches of Euro 2000 so far also were negative, UEFA said. The identities of the players tested were not revealed. |
