‘Mayor Gold Cup’ missing |

Chittagong (UNB) – The Mayor Gold Cup, weighing 25 tolas, has been missing from the Chittagong City Corporation building, mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury said here on Tuesday.
The mayor disclosed the matter in reply to a question from a journalist at a post-budget press conference at the CCC.
The Gold Cup was introduced by the mayor for a football tournament in 1998 and kept at the CCC auditorium, sources said.
The mayor, however, said that the tournament would continue to be held. He further said that a Gold Cup cricket tournament would be introduced here from this year.
