Workshop on general practice in Bangladesh from Tuesday |

Dhaka (UNB) – A two-day national workshop on ‘General Practice/Family Medicine in Bangladesh’ begins at Hotel Sonargaon here on Tuesday. The objectives of the workshop are to discuss and agree on a working definition of the specialty, review the different training arrangements in the country and conscientious building of actions required for developing the specialty on General Practice/Family Medicine in Bangladesh. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has organised the workshop with the financial help of Public Private Partnership (PPP) Programme, and in collaboration with the Department for International Development (DFID). State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Prof M Amanullah will inaugurate the workshop at 9am as a chief guest while Health Secretary Sayed Alamgir Farrouk Chowdhury attend it as special guest. Health and Family Welfare Minister Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim will be present as a chief guest at the concluding session at 2:30pm on October 11. |
