Cleanliness drive at DU to destroy Dengue carrier |

Dhaka (UNB) - A cleanliness drive began on the Dhaka University campus yesterday (Thursday) to remove garbage for destroying Aedes mosquito, the carrier of dengue virus. Vice chancellor Prof AK Azad Chowdhury inaugurated the operation from the Kalabhaban area. Teachers, students, officials, employees and the members of BNCC, Rover Scout and Rangers Unit are taking part in the drive aiming to clean all the bushes, dustbins, drains and ditches on the campus. Dhaka City Corporation is providing its vehicles, medicine, spray machines and spray-men for successfully conducting the operation. Pro-VC Professor M Shahadat Ali, treasurer Prof Abul Hashem, registrar Mohammad Selim, deans of all faculties, provosts and departmental chairmen were present on the occasion.
