Seminar on tuberculosis held |

Sylhet (UNB) - Doctors at a seminar here warned that tuberculosis might take a serious turn by the year 2005 if appropriate measures are not taken immediately. The seminar entitled "Update on Management of Tuberculosis" was held at the auditorium of Sylhet Osmany Medical College here on Wednesday. Bangladesh Society of Medicine (BSM) in collaboration with Aristo Pharma organised the seminar. Head of the Medicine Department of Sylhet Osmany Medical College Dr MA Ahbab presided over the seminar. Pro-VC of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Dr Mohammad Tahir was present as chief guest while acting principal of Osmany Medical College Dr NK Pal and president of BSM Dr Tofael Ahmed as special guests. Dr MA Khaleque, Dr MA Jalil Chowdhury, Dr Faisal Ahmed and Dr FM Siddiqui were among the discussants. Present perspective of tuberculosis, it diagnosis and treatment procedures were discussed at the seminar. A good number of doctors from various upazila health complexes of the district and medical students attended the seminar. |
