KUALA LUMPUR (AP) - Malaysia and Vietnam have agreed to work together to fight drug trafficking and cooperate in law enforcement, a news report said Monday. Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi told the national Bernama News agency that the two Southeast Asian countries want to exchange experience and knowledge on new, sophisticated crime fighting methods. Abdullah was speaking after hosting a lunch for visiting Vietnamese Public Security Minister Le Minh Huong. "We are ready to invite the Vietnamese (police) to come and attend courses ... and at the same time they will also be providing similar facilities to Malaysian police personnel," he was quoted by Bernama as saying. Huong, who arrived Sunday, is in Malaysia for three days to exchange information on crime, international terrorism, money laundering and drug trafficking. The Vietnamese and his 10-member delegation later visited the National Drug Agency.
