NEW DELHI-- (UNB/AP) - Two explosions, allegedly triggered by separatist militants, injured at least 30 people in the northern Kashmir state Sunday, domestic news agencies reported. The Press Trust of India said militants threw a grenade at a security force vehicle in Sopore, a town 50 kilometers (30 miles) northwest of Srinagar, the state capital, but it missed its mark and fell on the road in a crowded marketplace. At least 26 people were injured in the explosion, 13 of them seriously, PTI said. The other explosion took place in Badgam, outside Srinagar, where suspected militants blew up an army vehicle, PTI said. Four soldiers were injured in the attack. |
