MADRID (AP) - Police arrested a fugitive who knocked on the door of supermodel Claudia Schiffer's summer home with a large bouquet of flowers, according to media reports Sunday. Police in the Mallorcan town of Andratx, where Schiffer maintains a summer home, said the 44-year-old man approached a patrolman, identified himself as Schiffer's husband and asked for directions to her chalet, according to state news agency Efe. The officer gave him directions but called his base to report his suspicions. Police detained the man as he knocked on the door. Schiffer was not home at the time. Police told Efe the man was fleeing an arrest warrant issued on previous, unrelated assault and battery charges in the Spanish city of Valladolid. Police were not immediately available for comment.
