LONDON (AP) - Lord Snowdon, the photographer and former husband of Queen Elizabeth II's sister, Princess Margaret, has divorced his second wife Lucy after 22 years of marriage, according to court papers made available Thursday. The case was listed among couples granted a divorce decree under the special "quickie" procedure at the High Court in London. Snowdon, 70, who was born Antony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones, married film production assistant Lucy Lindsay-Hogg, 56, in 1978, the year his marriage to Margaret ended. He and Lindsay-Hogg have a daughter, Frances, 21, but the marriage had been ailing for some time; two years ago it emerged that he had fathered a son by journalist Melanie Cable-Alexander, 35. Snowdon received his title on his 1960 marriage to Margaret and the couple have two children, David, 38, who has the title Lord Linley, and Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones, 36. Lindsay-Hogg was previously married to the American film director Michael Lindsay, but was granted a divorce from him in 1971 on grounds of his adultery. |
