Dhaka, -- (UNB) – A three-day regional conference titled ‘Productivity Improvement, Competitiveness and Quality Jobs’ began at a city hotel yesterday.

The regional conference, jointly organised by Japan-based Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) and National Productivity Organisation (NPO), was inaugurated by Industries Secretary Al-Ameen Chowdhury at Hotel Sonargaon.

APO Programme Officer Lee Kia Yoke and NPO Director Shahidul Hoque also addressed the inaugural function.

Sixteen experts from APO member countries of Asia and the pacific region attended the conference.
