Dhaka, -- (UNB) – Farida Rahman, a renowned fashion designer and the owner of Fairy’s Garments, died of brain hemorrhage at BIRDEM Hospital here Sunday. She was 55.

Farida left behind her husband, a daughter and two grandsons and a host of relatives to mourn her death.

She was buried at Banani Graveyard after namaj-e-janaja on the premises of Banani Mosque after Asr prayers.

A member of Inner Wheel Club of Dhaka Buriganga, late Farida was involved in various social works.

Her qulkhwani will be held at her Banani residence after Asr prayers Friday.

Meanwhile, Local Government Minister Zillur Rahman condoled the death of Farida and expressed his sympathy to the bereaved family members.
