Frozen-foods exporters say shrimp quality is good |

Dhaka (UNB)- Bangladesh Frozen Foods Exporters Association (BFFEA) has strongly protested a report published in a section of national and regional dailies about the quality of its shrimp and termed it false and misleading. In a statement yesterday, BFFEA President Kazi Shahnewaz said they deserved factual information, which can be collected from the Association. Otherwise, the image of the sector may be damaged. He said the members of BFFEA and the department of Fish Inspection and Quality Control is striving to uphold the country’s image by maintaining quality of shrimp. Recognizing the quality of the shrimp, foreign buyers has increased import of Bangladesh shrimp which resulted in record earning of Tk1812 during the last financial year. |
