US entrepreneurs eager to invest in Bangladesh |

Dhaka (UNB) – United States is interested to extend its assistance for the development of Bangladesh’s energy sector. Visiting US Principal Deputy Undersecretary of Energy Kalvin Humphrey gave the hint while talking to Commerce Minister Abdul Jalil here yesterday. Referring to different renowned US companies, which already invested in Bangladesh, Humphrey said the US private entrepreneurs are very much eager to invest here. Humphrey also expressed his shock at the loss of lives and property of Bangladesh caused by flood. Welcoming the US interest to invest here, the minister said, “the USA is one of our development partners and its continued cooperation is most important to achieve the prospect of development of our country.” Commerce Secretary Golam Rahman and US Ambassador in Dhaka Mary Ann Peters were present. |
