Dhaka (UNB) – The visiting 14-member high-powered delegation of Denmark International Development Agency (DANIDA) called on Local Government Minister Zillur Rahman at the ministry’s conference room yesterday.

They exchanged views on progress of various DANIDA-aided development projects under the Local Government Ministry.

The delegation members lauded the poverty alleviation programme implemented by the Local Government bodies and women’s empowerment to improve their socio-economic status taken by the present government.

Deputy Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Saber Hossain Chowdhury and Local Government Secretary Badiur Rahman were among others present on the occasion.
