Dhaka, Apr 13 (UNB)- A standard size unit of 650 sq ft apartment comprising two bedrooms will be available at a price of around Tk 4 lakh. This was announced by the chairman of Nitol National Builders (NNB)– a joint venture company between Nitol Group of Companies and the Associated City planners of Singapore today. The signing ceremony of MOU between the Nitol and City planners was held on Wednesday at the conference room of Board of Investment. The chairman of Nitol group Abdul Matlub Ahmed and Choo Bok Lam of Associated City planners signed the agreement. Welcoming the formation of JVC in housing sector BOI Executive Chairman M Mokammel Haque wished NNB a success and assured of best cooperation from BOI. Giving detail of the project Matlub said that NNB is going to undertake development of a large satellite town. It proposed to develop some 100 to 150 acres of land into a self-sustained and well-balanced township. He said in total there would be 5000 apartments to be built together with supporting facilities such as shopping, entertainment and lavish landscape walkways. The estimated investment cost for the new township would be US $ 100 million he added. He also said the company sincerely hoped for government land within the 25 km of the city center, said a BOI press release.
