BAPA to set up a National Dairy Board |

Dhaka, Apr 17 (UNB)- Bangladesh Agro-processing Association has proposed the government to set up a National Dairy Board for speedy development of dairy farms in the country. A delegation of the association brought the proposal to Finance Minister Shah AMS Kibria when it called on the minister today. Association president Major General (rtd) Amjad Khan led the delegation.
The delegation members sought adequate incentives from the government on export of dairy products to the competitive world market and demanded rationalization of duties on raw materials and finished products. After hearing the delegation the Finance Minister said the government has adopted a policy to give all out cooperation for speedy development of dairy farms. He agreed with the proposal of a setting up a National Dairy Board and assured the delegation that he would place the proposal to the appropriate quarter. |
