Apr 19 (UNB) – Downward trend at the Chittagong Stock Exchange continued
today (Wednesday) with further fall in its benchmark as the losers
outnumbered the gainers. All
Share price index at the country’s second bourse shed 2.69 points or
0.24 percent to close at 1096.41 points from Tuesday’s 1099.10 points. Of
the 59 listed securities traded today, 17 gained, 31 declined and 11
remained unchanged. Some
803,397 shares and debentures valued at Tk 3.92 crore were traded today as
against 886,800 shares worth Tk 3.95 crore on the previous day. Rahima
Food Corporation (392,200) and BD Welding Electrodes (133,500) were among
the volume leaders. Market
capitalization stood at Tk 40.43 billion as against Tk 40.52 billion on
Tuesday.
