Chittagong, Apr 20 (UNB) – The price index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) closed lower today (Thursday) as the losers outnumbered the gainers.

All Share price index at the country’s second bourse shed 2.02 points or 0.18 percent to close at 1094.39 points from Wednesday’s 1096.41 points.

Of the 56 listed securities traded today, 19 gained, 27 declined and 10 remained unchanged.

Some 742,440 shares and debentures valued at Tk 3.77 crore were traded today as against 803,397 shares worth Tk 3.92 crore on the previous day.

Rahima Food Corporation (130,850), Excelsior Shoes (36,750) and BD Welding Electrodes (33,000) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 40.36 billion as against Tk 40.43 billion on Wednesday.
