Chittagong, Apr 22 (UNB) - Week’s trading at the Chittagong Stock Exchange began today (Saturday) marking a slight rise at its benchmark as the gainers dominated over the losers. All Share Price index at the country’s second bourse gained 2.21 points or 0.20 per cent to close at 1096.60 points from Thursday’s 1094.39 points. Of the 67 listed securities traded today, 31 gained, 23 declined and 13 remained unchanged. Some 601,305 shares and debentures valued at Tk 2.83 crore traded today as against 742,440 shares and worth Tk 3.77 on the previous day. Rahima Food Corporation (206,100), BD Welding Electrodes (97,000), Sino Bangla ((69,500) and Excelsior Shoes (34,650) were among the volume traders. Market capitalization stood at Tk 40.44 billion as against Tk 40.36 billion on Thursday.
