April 25, 2000 Chittagong,
Apr 24 (UNB) – Downward trend at the Chittagong Stock Exchange continued
today (Monday) for the second straight day marking a slight fall in its
benchmark index. All
Share Price index at the country’s second bourse shed 1.68 points or
0.15 percent to close at 1092.39 points from 1094.07 points on Sunday. Of
the 58 listed securities traded today, 23 gained, 26 declined and nine
remained unchanged. Some
409,930 shares and debentures worth Tk 2.54 crore changed hands as against
542,580 shares valued at Tk 3.06 crore on the previous trading day. Market
capitalization stood at Tk 40.30 billion as against Tk 40.35 billion on
Sunday. |
