Chittagong, Apr 25 (UNB) – Trading at the Chittagong Stock Exchange closed lower today (Tuesday) marking a slight fall in its benchmark as the losers outnumbered the gainers.

All Share Price index at the country’s second bourse dropped by 0.46 points or 0.04 percent to close at 1091.93 points from 1092.39 points on Monday.

Of the 60 listed securities traded today, 21 gained, 33 declined and six remained unchanged.

Some 520,707 shares and debentures worth Tk 3.25 crore changed hands as against 409,930 shares valued at Tk 2.54 crore on the previous trading day.

Rahima Food Corporation (311,850), National Bank Limited (46,740) and Imam Button Industries (36,250) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 40.29 billion as against Tk 40.30 billion on Monday.
