April 4, 2000 Chittagong,
Apr 3 (UNB) – The main index at the Chittagong Stock exchange marked a
fall today as the losers dominated the gainers. All
Share price index at the country’s second bourse lost 1.77 points or
0.16 per cent to close at 1097.05 points from Sunday’s 1098.82 points. Of
the 70 listed securities traded today, 22 gained, 37 declined and 11
remained unchanged. Some
463,366 shares valued at Tk 2.30 crore changed hands as against 4,39,720
shares worth Tk 2.99 crore on the previous trading day. Market
capitalization stood at Tk 40.25 billion from Tk 40.30 billion on Sunday.
