Apr 5 (UNB) – The main index at Dhaka Stock Exchange continued to show a
downtrend for the second straight day today (Wednesday) as the losers
outnumbered the gainers. All
Share Price Index at the country’s main bourse lost 0.67 points or 0.12
percent to close at 516.90 points from Tuesday’s 517.57 points. Of
the 161 listed securities traded today, 85 declined, 53 advanced and 23
remained unchanged. Some
1,113,066 shares and debentures valued at Tk 7.24 crore changed hands as
against 1,118,130 shares worth Tk 6.62 crore on the previous trading day. Market
capitalization stood at Tk 47.76 billion from Tk 48.13 billion Tuesday.
