5, 2000 Chittagong, May 4 (UNB) – Week’s trading at the Chittagong Stock Exchange closed higher today (Thursday) as the gainers outnumbered the losers. All Share Price Index at the country’s second bourse gained 2.43 points or 0.23 percent to close at 1083.64 points from Wednesday’s 1081.21 points. Of the 41 listed securities traded today, 22 gained, 14 declined and five remained unchanged. Some 130,735 shares and debentures valued at Tk 0.59 crore were transacted as against 587,133 shares worth at Tk 2.60 crore on the previous day. Sino Bangla (30,500), Shine Pukur (26,400) and Dynamic Industries (23,460) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 40.02 billion as against Tk 39.93 billion on Wednesday. |
