Sangsad Bhaban, (UNB) - The electricity tariff has increased as many as nine times since 1990, Parliament was informed yesterday (Wednesday).

In reply to Kamal Ahmed Majumder (AL-Mirpur), State Minister for Energy Prof Rafiqul Islam attributed increase in price of fuel used in power production and differences in exchange rate to the enhancement of electricity tariff.
