Dhaka
(UNB) – Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange closed higher yesterday
(Sunday) marking a slight rise in its benchmark although the losers
outnumbered the gainers. All
Share Price Index at the country’s main bourse gained 0.74 points or
0.13 percent to close at 548.34 points from Saturday’s 547.60 points. Of
the 179 listed securities traded today, 81 advanced, 87 declined and 11
remained unchanged. Some
4,326,634 shares and debentures valued at Tk 13.17 crore changed hands as
against 2,987,007 shares worth Tk 10.84 crore on the previous trading day. AIMs
First Mutual Fund (2,200,000), Meghna Shrimp (202,540), Rangpur Foundry
(187,000) and Chic Textiles (162,000) were among the day’s volume
leaders. Market capitalization stood at Tk 51.91 billion as against Tk 51.84 billion on Saturday. |
