CSE rises for third day in a row |

(UNB) – The upward trend of price index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange
continued yesterday (Monday) for the third straight day. All
Share Price Index at the country’s second bourse rose by 3.36 points or
0.29 percent to close at 1146.07 points from Sunday’s 1142.71 points. Of
the 71 listed securities traded yesterday, 26 gained, 37 declined and
eight remained unchanged. Some
670,680 shares and debentures valued at Tk 4.22 crore changed hands as
against 702,810 shares worth Tk 3.87 crore on the previous day. Shine
Pukur (127,800), Meghna Shrimp Culture (117,480), Aims First Guaranteed
Mutual Funds (55,000), Meghna Cement (44,850), Dynamic Textiles (30,040),
Rangpur Foundry (30,000) and Sino Bangla (27,500) were among the volume
leaders. Market capitalization stood at Tk 43.92 billion as against Tk 43.8 billion on Sunday.
