CSE: losers dominated the gainers |

Chittagong,(UNB) – Although the losers dominated the gainers, trading at Chittagong Stock Exchange began yesterday (Saturday) with a significant rise in its benchmark index.
All Share Price Index at the country’s second bourse rose by 6.48 points or 0.54 percent to close at 1186.71 points from Thursday’s 1180.23 points. Of the 85 listed securities traded yesterday, 19 gained, 60 declined and six remained unchanged. Some 2,248,365 shares and debentures valued at Tk 5.33 crore changed hands as against 1,872,870 shares worth Tk 5.05 crore on the previous day. Quasem Drycell (277,000) Chic Tex (272,000), Beximco Pharma (243,100), Shine Pukur Holdings Ltd (136,300) and Rose Heaven Bal Pen (135,000) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalization stood at Tk 45.31 billion from Tk 45.09 billion Thursday. |
