Dhaka (UNB) - Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange closed with a slight rise in its benchmark yesterday despite the losers heavily outnumbered the gainers. All Share Price Index at the country's main bourse gained 0.28 points or 0.04 per cent to close at 721.29 points from Wednesday's 721.00 points. Of the 182 listed securities traded yesterday, 106 declined, 70 gained and six remained unchanged. Some 14,271,761 shares and debentures valued at Tk 43.52 crore changed hands as against 16,846,728 shares worth Tk 45.25 crore on the previous trading day. AIMS First Mutual Fund (5,277,500), Fu Wang Food (2,920,500), Beximco Pharma (1,049,950), Chic Tex (780,500), Rangpur Foundry (695,000) and Quasem Drycell (634,100) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 68.46 billion from Tk 68.43 billion on Wednesday. |
