Dhaka (UNB) - The price index at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) posted 12.68 points rise yesterday (Thursday) as the gainers strongly dominated the losers. The benchmark of the country's main bourse gained 2.04 percent or 12.68 points to close at 632.24 points from Wednesday's 619.56 points. Of the 158 listed securities traded yesterday, 115 gained, 33 declined and 10 remained unchanged. Some 9,080,691 shares and debentures valued at Tk 29.74 crore changed hands as against 8,636,227 shares worth Tk 27.17 crore on the previous trading day. AIMS First Guaranteed (2,840,000), Beximco Pharma (1,012,000), Chic Tex (982,500), Quasem Drycells (840,300), Fuwang Food (682,500) and Rangpur Foundry (666,000) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 60.00 billion from Tk 58.80 billion on Wednesday. |
