Loans for unemployed youths |

Dhaka (UNB)- The government has taken a plan to give Tk 15 crore as loans to trained unemployed youths. The loans will be distributed 30,000 youths including females on occasion of the National Mourning Day on August 15. The decision was taken at a high-powered meeting held at the conference room of the Youth Development Directorate with State Minister for Sports and Cultural Affairs Obaidul Quader in the chair. The loans will be given under the "family-based employment programme" and youth training and self-employment project at district and thana levels. The credit programme has been taken to make the youths self-reliant and thus building a poverty-free Bangladesh as dreamt by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said an official handout. Director General of Youth Development Directorate Zahiruddin Bhuiyan and senior officials concerned were present in the meeting.
