Southeast Asian nations form economic forum |

Dhaka
(UNB) – The five-nation BIMST-EC will formally launch an “Economic
Forum” in its 3rd ministerial meeting in New Delhi on July 6. State
Minister for Foreign Affairs Abul Hasan Chowdhury disclosed this at a
press briefing at the Foreign Office yesterday (Tuesday). The
minister, who will lead a 4-member delegation, leaves here on Wednesday
night to attend the BIMST-EC meeting in New Delhi. The
BIMST-EC, a regional grouping, consists of Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri
Lanka and Thailand.
