Chittagong (UNB) – The main index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange marked a rise for the second straight day yesterday (Sunday) with the gainers outnumbering the losers.

The CSE All Share Price Index rose by 1.34 points or 0.08 percent to close at 1443.45 points from Saturday’s 1442.12 points.

Of the 71 listed securities traded today, 36 gained, 25 declined and 10 remained unchanged.

Some 1,119,387 shares and debentures worth Tk 5.88 crore were transacted today as against 1,842,421 shares valued at Tk 7.44 crore on the previous trading day.

Shine Pukur Holdings (201,900), Quasem Drycells (193,850), AIMS First Guaranteed (185,000) and Beximco Pharmaceuticals (142,300) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 54.46 billion from Tk 54.41 billion on Saturday.
