DSE index falls slightly |

Dhaka (UNB) - The price index at Dhaka Stock Exchange marked 1.54 points further fall yesterday (Tuesday) despite the gainers outnumbered the losers. All Share Price Index at the country's main bourse lost 0.91 per cent or 1.54 points to close at 637.72 points from Monday's 639.26 points. Of the 166 listed securities traded yesterday, 75 gained, 67 declined and 24 remained unchanged. Some 8,281,995 shares and debentures valued at Tk 25.48 crore changed hands as against 8,367,293 shares worth Tk 30.45 crore on the previous day. AIMS First Mutual (3,490,000), Beximco Pharma (849,850), Chic Tex (529,000), Rangpur Foundry (575,000). Quasem Drycell (462,300) and Miracle Industry (490,500) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 60.52 billion from Monday's Tk 60.67 billion. |
