Chittagong (UNB) - Price index at Chittagong Stock Exchange marked a rise yesterday (Wednesday) although the turnover both in terms of value and volume decreased.

The CSE All Share Price Index gained 4.26 points or 0.30 percent to close at 1384.58 points from 1380.32 points Tuesday.

Of the 75 listed securities traded yesterday, 35 gained, 30 declined and 10 remained unchanged.

Some 2,134,951 shares and debentures valued at Tk 5.77 crore changed hands as against 4,255,145 shares worth Tk 8.66 crore on the previous day.

AIMS First Guaranteed (682,500), Beximco Pharma (288,150), Quasem Drycells (203,550) and Chic Textiles 158,500) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 52.36 billion against Tuesday's Tk 52.21 billion.
