Dhaka (UNB) - The downward spiral at Dhaka Stock Exchange continued for the fourth straight day yesterday as the losers dominated the gainers. The DSE All Share Price Index lost 3.09 points or 0.48 percent to close at 639.49 points as against 642.58 points on Tuesday. Of the 155 listed securities traded yesterday, 88 declined, 58 advanced and nine remained unchanged. Some 2,478,037 shares and debentures worth Tk 12.02 crore were transacted as against 3,479,924 shares valued at 15.44 crore on the previous trading day. AIMS First Guaranteed (545,000), Raspit (420,500), Beximco Pharma (249,700), Sino Bangla (209,000) and Meghna Shrimp (114,880) were among the day's volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 60.69 billion as against Tk 60.99 billion on Tuesday. |
