Chittagong (UNB) – The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange closed further lower yesterday (Thursday) with losers outnumbering the gainers.

The CSE All Share Price Index shed 6.14 points or 0.44 percent to close at 1379.97 points from Wednesday’s 1386.12 points.

Of the 70 listed securities traded yesterday, 20 gained, 45 declined and five remained unchanged.

Some 651,022 shares and debentures valued at TK 2.37 crore changed hands as against 655,270 shares worth TK 2.49 crore on the previous trading day.

Beximco Pharma (107,100), Chic Tex (81,000), AIMS 1st Guaranteed (80,000), Sino Bangla (75,500) and BD Welding (59,000) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 52.31 billion from Tk 52.52 billion on Wednesday.
