Dhaka (UNB) - Forest Department will distribute the dividend of Tk 17.66 lakh among the people who took part in the social afforestation programme under Dhaka forest division.

Environment and Forest Minister Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury will hand over the cheques as chief guest among 73 people at a function at the Bhawal National Park today.

Each participant will receive the highest amount of Tk 67,050.

State Minister for Rural Development and Cooperatives Adv Rahmat Ali, State Minister for Forest HN Ashiqur Rahman and local MP Ahsanullah Master will be present at the function as special guests.

Besides, cash money would be distributed among selected 250 unemployed freedom fighters of Dhaka, Tangail and Mymensingh forest divisions under the Unemployed Freedom Fighters’ Rehabilitation Project at the function.
