Chittagong (UNB) – As the losers strongly dominated the gainers, the main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange tumbled yesterday (Monday).

The CSE All Share Price Index slipped 8.23 points or 0.60 per cent to close at 1355.28 points from Sunday’s 1363.51 points.

Of the 69 listed securities traded yesterday, 43 declined, 14 advanced and 12 remained unchanged.

Some 1,168,470 shares and debentures worth Tk 5.40 crore were transacted as against 371,846 shares valued at Tk 1.60 crore on the previous trading day.

Beximco Pharma (443,100), Aims First Guaranteed (280,000), Sino Bangla (148,500) and Shine Pukur (84,450) were among the day’s volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 51.45 billion from Tk 51.74 billion on Sunday.
