Dhaka (UNB) – KAI-PMB Façade Technology Limited, a Bangladesh-Malaysia joint venture Aluminium fabrication company launched its formal operation here on Monday. Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain attended its inaugural function at a local hotel. Executive Chairman of the Board of Investment M Mokammel Haque was the special guest. Chairman of the company Koon Poh Ming and Managing Director Sabbir Ahmed Agha also addressed the function, said a press release yesterday. Addressing the function, Engineer Mosharraf Hossain hoped that KAI-PMB Company would highly contribute in the booming construction industry in Bangladesh through its Aluminium products. “KAI-PMB intends to create safe, beautiful, cost effective and innovatively designed buildings for our present and future city dwellers,” company MD Sabbir Ahmed Agha told the function. The PMB group, a listed company on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, is the largest Aluminium extruder and fabricator in Malaysia with its offices in the UK, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. The joint venture was formed to undertake fabrication of Aluminium curtain walls and claddings for prestigious projects in Bangladesh. So far they secured projects worth US dollars two million. |
