Chittagong (UNB) – The price index at Chittagong Stock Exchange closed further lower yesterday as the losers sharply dominated the gainers. The CSE All Share Price Index shed 12.24 points or 0.92 per cent to close at 1313.39 points from Saturday’s 1325.63 points. Of the 58 listed securities traded yesterday, 46 declined, eight gained and four remained unchanged. Some 601,929 shares and debentures valued at Tk 3.83 crore were transacted as against 1,224,555 shares worth at Tk 4.20 crore on the previous day. Beximco Pharma (206,750), AIMS First Guaranteed (100,000), Shinepukur (86,300) and Chictex (52,500) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 50.00 billion from Saturday’s Tk 50.42 billion. |
