Bangladesh to receive 4.6m DM for seed project |

Dhaka (UNB) – Bangladesh will receive 4.6 million Deutsche Mark equivalent to around Tk 11.4 crore from Germany for the extension of the Seed Development Project. The Exchange of Notes to this effect was signed here yesterday (Tuesday) by Jan-Axel Voss, Charge d’ Affaires of the German Embassy in Dhaka and ERD joint secretary Abdur Razzaque. The project, aimed at helping farmers’ groups involved in production and marketing of high quality seeds, is being implemented under German Bangladesh Technical Assistance. In the project’s new three-year phase, the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) and the Private Seed Business Support Unit of BADC will jointly implement the scheme. |
