Dhaka, Sept 28 (UNB) – A mission of Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) in now in Bangladesh for a weeklong survey on the economic situation of Bangladesh. The survey aims at obtaining information on fiscal and external debt management, monetary and exchange rate policy, banking sector analysis and overall macroeconomic management of the country. The mission will meet officials of different ministries including the Ministry of Finance, Planning Commission and Bangladesh Bank, as well as IMF, US Embassy and WB officials. The mission members will also speak to renowned economists and private foreign bankers, said a press release yesterday (Thursday). |
