German help for tourism industry of Bangladesh |

Dhaka (UNB) – Germany has assured of fullest cooperation in the development of tourism industry in Bangladesh. The assurance came when Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain called on Dr Erich Kaub, President of the Federal Association of the German Tourism Industry, at Hannover. The Minister attended the World Tourism Summit there on September 27. Dr Kaub specifically told the visiting Minister that he welcomes the master plan of the Bangladesh Tourism Industry in order to workout a roadmap for attracting German tourists to Bangladesh. Engineer Mosharraf Hossain briefed Dr Kaub on the infrastructure facility now being provided to foreign tourists. The Minister also met Francesco Frangialli, Secretary General of the World Tourism Organisation. The WTO Secretary General informed the minister that his organisation is already engaged in updating the master plan of Bangladesh tourism industry. He also offered all-out cooperation of his organisation in the development of tourism industry in Bangladesh, said a PID handout. |
