Chittagong (UNB) - The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange marked a fall yesterday (Sunday) with the losers heavily outnumbering the gainers. The CSE All Share Price Index lost 13.07 points or 0.92 percent to close at 1407.45 points from Saturday's 1420.52 points. Of the 66 listed securities traded yesterday, nine gained, 50 declined and seven remained unchanged. Some 746,385 shares and debentures valued at Tk 3.44 crore changed hands as against 933,313 shares worth Tk 3.91 crore on the previous trading day. Fu-Wang Foods (233,000), BD Welding Electrodes (124,500) AIMS First Guaranteed (65,000) and Beximco Pharma (63,500) were among the day's volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 53.24 billion from Saturday's Tk 53.69 billion. |
