Activities at the Mongla Port suspended |

Bagerhat (UNB) - Activities at the Mongla Port remained suspended since Sunday evening due to the strike called by the Launch-Barge Workers' Association. The association called the strike demanding release of their two comrades arrested Sunday morning. Police said the coast guard arrested two masters -Yusuf (30) and Bellal (28) - of two cargo vessels loaded with illegal fertilizers worth Tk 40 lakh. The arrested masters failed to produce any legal documents in favour of the fertilizers. The cargoes, fertilizers and masters were handed over to the Mongla police. |
