Dhaka, --- Bangladesh Garment Sramik Oikya Parishad (BGSOP) has called a 24-hour strike on September 11 in the garment industries across the country to realise their 5-point demands, including pay hike.

The program was announced from a press conference held at the Dhaka Reporters Unity office in the capital yesterday.

The other demands of the BGSOP include, issuing appointment letters, maintaining service books, giving identity cards, introducing grading system and payment of salary by 7th of a month.

The BGSOP will hold a rally and bring out torch procession from Muktangon on September 8. Similar regional rallies will be held and processions brought out in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Tongi and Chittagong on September 9 and 10.
