Gopalganj,
July 12 (UNB)- Two people were killed on the spot and seven others
wounded in a road accident near the police line adjacent to the town
here on early Monday.
The
deceased were identified as Nirmal Kumar Shaha and Jitendranath Ranjit.
Police
said the mishap occurred when a speedy truck coming from Faridpur hit
the microbus bound for Magura at 3am at the point.
Seriously
inured microbus passengers Dilip Kumar Sen 50, Abdur Razzaque 32,
Arabinda S40, Sanjit Kumar Biswas, Paritosh Shaha 51 and Ratan Roy 18
were admitted to the Sadar Hospital.
Sanjit
Kumar was later shifted to the Faridpur Medical College Hospital
following the deterioration of his condition.
The
driver along with the truck fled the scene. A case was filed.
